From Broke Chippendale’s Dancer to $1 BILLION in Fitness Video Sales?

Tony Horton’s direct-response ads are the most frequently aired infomercials on American television, making him one of the nation’s most-seen personalities.

Today Horton is a well-known personal trainer, author, and former actor who has amassed an estimated net worth of $22 million by selling over $1.4 billion worth of workout videos during his career.

Some of his best-selling fitness programs include: P90X, P90X2, Ten Minute Trainer, and most recently his 22-Minute military inspired workout, 22 Minute Hard Corps.

The P90x program sold over 5 million programs alone…

While P90X may be what he's most known for, Tony’s a normal person like any of us who has faced his own struggles…

He was bullied as a kid…

As a child, Horton struggled with a speech impediment and was not much of an athlete. In fact he used to get beat up at the bus stop.

He quickly took a weightlifting class, which inspired a decades-long dedication to

fitness.

In the early years, Horton made money as a street performing mime, go go dancer at Chippendales, carpenter, waiter, model, and actor for commercials.

This video outlines his journey from a broke nobody to creating one of the most recognized brands the fitness industry with over $1 billion in revenue.
